Eye Witness Account of the Karbala Incident

It was their sincerity and affection on one side and their love on the other when suddenly I thought that there would be some people among them who must have witnessed the tragic Karbala Incident. While I was thinking about that, I asked my host if he had any elderly people who had witnessed Karbala Incident. He replied in positive. Then I asked him if I could meet them. He confirmed that they were also present in that gathering. I asked him to call them. He said that only a few were available then. They were 6 to 7 persons of quite old age including 2 females. They came closer and asked others to stay behind. I requested them to narrate the whole Karbala Incident. Upon that a quite aged person replied that he had full regard for my request but it was too pathetic for him to narrate as he was worried that he would not be able to control his sentiments when sharing that and may die or fall seriously ill. I offered him that I had a remedy for that and on a piece of paper, I wrote a naqsh and asked him to hold it in the right hand with folded fingers and sit.

My vehement crying upon listening about the Incident:

He sat down there while holding the naqsh in his hand and closed his eyes. He then narrated the whole Karbala Incident in full details and showed me about the placement of each and every thing that where the caravans of Ahl-e-Bait were staying in their tents and the places where they had tied their animals along with full details about the number of horses, camels and ponies and how many swords they had. That old man was no less than an encyclopedia and he narrated the whole incident with such a grief and sorrow that I could not stop my tears and there was a strange atmosphere in the gathering that it seems that marriage feast has turned into a scene of tragedy and it made me crying vehemently for quite long a time. It was so tragic that soon I felt myself being out of control so I interrupted him and asked him to stop for a while.
